GUESS WHAT?
Chicken butt?
… No, not that…
But Dropbox finally decided to cooperate and finish uploading the preview pics, and is currently working on the last medium pic. So now you can go to the main folder and look at the full preview files in the “200 dpi” folder (only one that has previews) and match the filenames to the other folders. If you dont see the one you want in the higher resolutions, then tough luck, you’ll have to wait like everyone else for my uploads to finish, still have another ~17-18 hours at least.
Now for the F.A.Q., and yes I mean it:
1 Why are the pictures not rotated?
Because it was quicker this way than to take that time myself, plus if I did it now then it would have to REUPLOAD
If you want them rotated, you know those little curved arrows in windows picture viewer? yeah those little blue ones, maybe you should try them out *note: choose wisely on the large pics, it WILL take time
2. Can I use these somewhere else?
Sure, feel free to, just don’t call them yours, because they be MINE
And if anyone feels like making a vector file of them, please share, I’m just a bit too lazy to do it myself >.>
3. Can I rehost them?
YES, Dropbox has bandwidth limits, I’m sure with how big the large files are that will be hit quickly, so yes you can rehost them, just please supply me with a link to them so I can give it out for the people who are looking
Without further ado, LINK
Figured you guys might like a pic of my new mouse pad, turns out that it is official merch, go figure, guess I’ll be buying more of them when I get the chance >.>
The compression shrink isn’t worth it, It’ll just be 2 or 3 days before everything is there, my sister has graduation on saturday and I’m possibly going to have work tomorrow, so I don’t know if I’ll leave my desktop on or not yet, we will be having some storms through here.
Got everything put together and the full 1600 dpi is by far the best looking scan color and quality wise, seems this scanner has some fuzziness in its finer details, but the raw data makes up for it.
Unfortunately, the total size has come to about 20 GB, dropbox is saying “2 days” left, completely serious, so I’m also pushing my machine to the limit to compress it as much as possible, while each large image compressed alone would be nice, it’ll take way too long and would make the final ratio worse, I’m slowly creeping my way down, at 12% completion and the ratio dropped from 82% initial to 65% now, so we might see an eventual halving in size. It’ll take at least an hour (finally putting my 16GB of ram to use), but it’ll definitely be better, I’ll likely put individual compressions of the images up later. But I’ll make the new post/link when this one finishes and gets uploaded (to an extent).
So I’ve pulled out our actual scanner, and I’ve begun redoing ALL the sketches, with 3 main scans, 200 dpi 24 bit RGB JPG preview (for tumblr preview), 800 dpi 24 bit RGB TIFF for main large output about 350-400 MB in size, then there’s the 1600 dpi 64 bit RGBi scan for the “full” output, that averages about 1.5GB, so it’s not something to laugh at, when looking at the lines at full zoom, I’m not sure if the fuzziness is the scanner or actually the absorption of the ink into the paper, while I’m still working, if anyone has any sizes/resolutions they think would be better please let me know
TL;DR: scanning pics, file sizes the size of Amati’s ego, any scanning profile recommendations would be appreciated
Also, expect previews up today, but don’t expect all the other files for another 2-3 days min, you can thank TWC for their “1 Mb/s” upload speed, I really average out at 100KB/s, I guess it’s still “better” than dial up *sigh*

I guess I should leave you with the one preview pic I’ve done so far, I know I’ve been calling wolf a lot lately >.> … Well I’m still calling wolf anyways, I mean it is Horo right?
Horo, Spice and Wolf
