Color chibi means I’m done with all them chibis. Time to move on to other stuff.
First set of chibi sketches for the winners.
I wish I could continue working today, but I’ve got eyestrain so bad that I can no longer see what I’m doing. Fun stuff. Tomorrow I’ll blend more with a soft brush, paint the hair, and most exciting of all, remove the outlines. That’s right, I’m graduating from drawer to digital painter.
I often worry that I’m not improving quickly enough, but looking back, that’s a pretty stupid thing for me to worry about. My first post, the Eureka drawing I made exactly two months ago, took me ten days of constant work, and is painful to look at. This is the product of a single day, and it should be completely finished tomorrow. While it’s not done yet, I can say with confidence that it will be a hell of a lot better than that first Eureka drawing.
Scrolling through my old drawings to compare nearly caused me to vomit. Artists are funny people.
Today’s apple is taking a lot longer for some reason.Tommorrow you should prove her right by covering an apple with painted kitty faces, puppies and double rainbows.
I would actually do that if I had any faith in my ability to use real paint.
